To answer on a v.120 channel, use the following series of commands:
at&o10
at#nbv120=
at#sav120=
at#ipv120=1
at&w
at#z

You can change the commands as appropriate depending on the DTE channel in use. For example, to answer a PPP channel use:
at&o7
at#nbppp=
at#sappp=
at#ipppp=1
at&w
at#z
