Why does nothing happen when I attempt to send a fax using FaxSTF?

The fax software is probably in Data Mode which means that some other application has control of the modem port.

This problem can also occur if the last data communication application that used the port did not close it properly.
To recapture the port go into the STF settings, click on the ċFax SoftwareŻ icon and then click the ċActivateŻ button.
