To determine if you have an extension conflict which is causing you communications problems on your Mac computer, follow this procedure.
Start your computer with either of the SHIFT keys held down, the SHIFT key is marked with the bold upward facing arrow symbol.
You can let go of the SHIFT key when you see the on screen message indicating that your Macintosh is starting with extensions off.
If you find that you are able to successfully communicate with the modem with extensions off, you will need to find the offending extension which is causing the conflict.
Use the extension manager to disable any modem related extension.
You may need to disable other extensions to resolve your conflict. |
