For correct operation the modem should be installed on the next available COM port in a PC.
If the PC has a COM 1 fitted but the Pace 56 Voice Internal modem also installs on COM1, then you will need to modify the BIOS settings of your PC. Refer to the manufacturers manual supplied with your computer for information about altering your PC BIOS setup program.
You would need to select the Integrated peripherals (or similar) section. Change the serial port settings from Auto to:-
Onboard Serial 1 = 03F8 IRQ 4
Onboard Serial 2 = 02F8 IRQ 3 |
