The Pace 56 Voice & Pace 56 Voice Internal firmware from version 1.20 and later provides improved reliability and compatibility. However, some users find that the actual connect speed attained is sometimes lower with the new firmware. This firmware is actually better optimised to choose the correct connect speed that results in the best possible data throughput. This means that sometimes a slightly lower connect speed is chosen, but this actually results in a higher data throughput! Rest assured, tests show that the time taken to download a particular file should be shorter using the new firmware. |
