How do I configure VOICEstf for single user answering machine?

By default, VOICEstf installs files for ABC Co., this is a hierarchy based system. If you wish to configure VOICEstf for a simple answer machine, follow this procedure.
Double click on the icon for your Macintosh hard disk.
Double click on the VOICESTF folder.
Drag the VOICEstf DB file and the ABC Co. folder to the wastebasket.

Double click on the VOICESTF MANAGER icon, this will bring up a modem setup screen. Select the Pace 56 Voice modem from the list of supported modems. Click on OK.
VOICEstf will report an error, 'Unable to open Database file "VOICEstf DB"'. Click on OK.
You will then be presented with an option to create a new database file, click on CREATE.
You will then be given the option of entering a new system password, make a note of the numeric digits entered. You will be asked to confirm the digits entered.
You will now be presented with a dialogue screen, click on the OK button.
On the next screen, enter a filename - for example My Answer Mchine. Click on OK.
Make a note of the root mailbox password. Click on OK.
VOICEstf will then create the new database files.

Ensuring that the VOICEstf is set to offline, you can then select SYSTEM PREFERENCES from the VOICESTF option in the menu bar. You will then be able to edit your greeting.
VOICEstf is now configured for a single user answering machine.
