To start the Dial Up Networking setup wizard, double click on MY COMPUTER, and then double click DIAL UP NETWORKING.
If the Dial Up Networking icon is not in My Computer, it is not installed.
Select MAKE NEW CONNECTION. This will then open a window prompting you for a connection name. Enter a connection name.Ensure that your Pace modem is selected in SELECT A MODEM box, then click next.
You will then be asked for the telephone number of the computer you wish to call. Place your Internet Service Providers (ISP) connection number.
In the list box below select the country in which your ISP is based, then click on NEXT button.
On the next window click FINISH. You should now find a new icon has appeared in your Dial Up Networking folder.
Normally this procedure should get you successfully connected to your ISP. If you find that you are having further problems, contact your ISP, they will be able to provide further ISP specific information that may be required to add to your Dial Up Networking connection. |
