FAQ161 | This problem can occur on some non-BT lines or when dialling numbers in other countries. The modem dials out, then gets a message back saying that dialtone is still present. The SuperVoice software will see this, and think that the call has ended resulting in it dropping the line. You can resolve this problem by telling SuperVoice not to detect dialtone. Make sure that Supervoice is not running and then go into START, into PROGRAMS and choose WINDOWS EXPLORER (Windows 3.1 users need to use FILE MANAGER in the MAIN group).Go into the SUPERVOC directory in your hard disk and into the folder labled DATA. Look for the file called SUPERVOC.INI and edit this file. Scroll down to the section labled [SPEAKERPHONE] and change the DETECTMASK= line to read DETECTMASK=d. Save the file and then restart SuperVoice. A side effect of doing this is that SuperVoice will then not recognise the end of speakerphone calls. Once you have finished the call ensure that you click on HANGUP to finish the call. |
