FAQ157 | Occasionally Windows 95/98 may fail to detect the Pace TV Card correctly. If this is experienced, please follow this procedure. On first powering up your computer after installing the Pace TV Card, you will see a DOS screen which shows a list of all the hardware installed in the computer. When this screen appears press the PAUSE key on your computer keyboard. In the section which displays PCI devices you should see two options for Multimedia Device. The Multimedia Devices will display the same IRQ is in use. If you find that the Multimedia Devices don't appear try the card in a different PCI slot. If the Multimedia Devices do appear, press key on the keyboard to continue loading Windows.Click on the START button, click on SETTINGS, then click on CONTROL PANEL. Double click on the SYSTEM icon, and click on the DEVICE MANAGER tab. Look for an item called OTHER DEVICES and make sure that the Pace TV card does not appear there. If it does, select the entry for the Pace TV card and remove it from the system. Restart the computer, you should find the card is detected correctly. |
