FAQ128 | If you find that the Pace NB 56 Voice modem Plug and Play drivers have failed to install correctly in Windows 95, follow this procedure to remove them. Click on the START button, then click RUN. In the Run dialogue box, type REGEDIT and then click on OK. You will find the REGISTRY EDITOR screen opens up.Before you make any changes within the registry of your computer, make sure you export the registry database. If things go wrong, you will have a working backup of the registry. Once you have exported your registry, double click on the entry HK_LOCAL_MACHINE, then click on the entry ENUM, and then click on the PCMCIA entry. If you find there are entries for Pace NB 56 Voice modem, select each entry and press 'Delete' key on your keyboard to remove the entry from the registry database. Close the REGISTRY EDITOR, and restart Windows 95. The Pace NB 56 Voice should now be recognised by Windows 95 and the drivers should be correctly installed. |
