It may be that your Pace NB 56 Voice modem is installed but not on the port that you require it, to force the settings on the modem follow this procedure.
Click on the START button, click on SETTINGS, then click on CONTROL PANEL.
Double click on the SYSTEM icon.
Click on the DEVICE MANAGER tab.
Double click on the MODEM to view the installed modems.
Double click the Pace NB 56 Voice modem to view the properties panel.
Click on the RESOURCES tab.
Ensure that the check on USE AUTOMATIC SETTINGS is removed.
You will need to then go through the list of BASIC CONFIGURATIONS until the Input/Output Range is set to the correct setting.

2F8 is Com 2
3E8 is Com 3
2E8 is Com 4Make sure that there are no conflicts in the CONFLICTING DEVICE LIST. If you can not select the setting you require, you may have to disable another device to free up system resources. Click on the OK button to leave the PROPERTIES panel. Please restart Windows by clicking on the START button, then selecting SHUTDOWN. Make sure RESTART is selected. |
