Click on the START button, click on SETTINGS, then click on CONTROL PANEL.
Double click the SYSTEM icon.
Click on the DEVICE MANAGER tab and double click on the PCMCIA socket.

If you find there is a red cross on the controller, click the Properties button and configure the DEVICE USAGE check box to check in which configuration(s) the card should be used. Click OK to start the PCMCIA setup wizard and answer NO to all questions.

If you find there is a yellow exclamation mark on the controller, click on the PCMCIA controller to highlight it and then click the Remove button, confirm that you wish to delete the item.

If you find there are more than one controller then you will need remove them all.
Restart Windows 95 by clicking on the START button, choose SHUTDOWN and then select RESTART.
When the computer has finished starting up, you should find the Pace NB 56 Voice modem is now detected when it is plugged into the PCMCIA slot.
