|---|
| The upgrade is made possible by one of two options, dependent upon the type of product you have. | |
Flash UpgradableIf you have a desktop or NB 34 modem (with a maximum speed of 28,800 bps) and a CE mark on the BABT approval label (found on the underside of the modem), then you can upgrade your modem yourself by downloading a "flash" upgrade utility from this site.Shown opposite are examples of where to look for the CE mark which will determine whattype of upgrade your modem will require. Chargeable Return to Factory UpgradeIf your modem does not have the CE mark, or is an internal modem, then you will need to return your product to the factory for EPROM upgrade. This will incur a charge of 30 pounds UK + VAT, to cover labour and return postage. If you wish to return your modem for upgrade you must first contact us for a Returns Authorisation Number. To do this use the Contacts page to contact Pace Technical Support. | ![]() Microlin fx NB 34 PC-Card (PCMCIA)

Yes, my modem is flash upgradable. What next? You need to download a program to run on your PC compatible which will allow you to update your modem. This program is available from this page and is called UPGRADE.EXE. Once you have downloaded and installed the upgrade, you should run the program called FLASHUP.EXE and follow the on-screen instructions.Last updated 19 August 1997. | |
