Drivers PagePace 56 Solo Amiga Upgrade Home

Although PMC does not supply a Pace modem specifically tailored for the Amiga, we have provided the following upgrader utility for those customers who use this computer.

You need to download a file to open on your Amiga which will allow you to upgrade your Pace 56 Solo to the latest V.90 standard. The table on the right shows the improvements that the current version provides over the earlier versions.

Check the current version of code in your modem by looking at the response to the ATI4 command. (Use any terminal package, to open a connection to your modem and look at the response when you type ATI4 and press 'return').

What do I do when I have downloaded this file?

  • Disconnect from the Internet: Close your connection to your Internet Service Provider (you can't upgrade your modem while it is in use!).

  • Install the Upgrade: Unpack the file to a suitable place on your system and open the readme.first file for instructions on how to upgrade.

  • Perform the Upgrade: Run Soloup and follow the on screen instructions.
